Good day my tifosi,Below is the excerpt of my interview with Talking Point. It is pretty long so I am going to split it into a few parts.B means Bendahara while H means the host. Note that this is his view and no way represent any other organisation.H: welcome bendaharaB: thank you H: With the election coming up in Singapore, how do you think that the Singapore Parliament had fared in the past five years?B: The current bunch of mps had been pretty disappointing on the whole. It had been pretty obivous in the past two years where it had drove many of the believers and netural into giving the opposition a chance. While they had continue to bring prosperity to Singapore on the whole, they failed to address issues like the rising cost of living, housing and transport issues as well as the widening gap between the rich and the poor.H: This seems to be pretty negative on your view, what and how do you think that situations could have improve?B: The issue of the housing should have been something that the ministers could have plan better in ahead with the forecast. Instead of reducing the number of houses built, he should increases it and that the price of the house should stay low so that the average citizens can afford it. When I say afford it, I do not meant paying by instalment for another 30 years before claiming it to be your own.H: As you had mention earlier, the transport should have been better managed, how do you think it could have been done?B: With the rising number of people in Singapore, you could anticipate that much more is needed for transportation. COE should be cater as such it should continue to be affordable and yet it control the number of traffic on the road. A good way is to ensure that it would be a premium above the Coe price for those who are foreigners or those who are on the verge of owning a second car. I am in approval of the additional mrt lines been built but I thought that these could have been done earlier and not at this stage where the population already feel the impact of the underprepared transport system. H: What are the steps that you would take to ensure that the rising cost of living would be minimized?B: This is a difficult question with no right or wrong answer to it. If I am to handle it, I would look at the items and decide whether if it is a essential item or luxury goods. If it is an essential goods, we can try and reduce the price by scrapping the gst. This would definitely benefit those with a lower income as they would need to use lesser income to get the same amount of essential items. The excessive income could be better off used as a personal development fund or something that enrich themselves. In that way they would be able to learn and progresses ahead. However, I do not encourage the scrapping of the gst on the luxury. In fact, we can increases the gst via the progressive methods. It can be raised to 10% on all luxury items with the exception of the first property been purchased.H: The progressive gst incremental methods seems interesting and it might work out. Would that be helpful in closing the gap between the rich and the poor? B: No, progressive gst on luxury items would be good for scrapping the gst on the essential goods such as food. The progressive gst should help to reduce the negative effect of scrapping the gst of the essential items. It will not help in reducing the gaps of the high income vs the low income. In fact, if we are to narrow the gap, we should bring the lower income gap upwards than to force the higher income group downwards.H: It seems that you already have some plans to narrow the gap. Can you share with us what would you do if you can have a free hand on the issue?B: We will need to understand why is it that certain profiles fall into the lower income group while some manage to stay out of it? The answers to the reasons may not be that clear, outright or simple solution. It means that there will not be a complete set of answers or solutions to the question. What I would do if I am given a free hand? I would be setting up a council to study and analysis the issue and to come out with the solution. The solution must be practical and effective to the issues arises from it.H: What would likely to be the challenges and issues that would be ahead for the government and the country? What would you do to overcome them?B: The competition ahead from other countries may force us to be more competitive and to stay ahead of them. At the same time, we need to ensure that all Singaporeans stay ahead of competition with a good income and happy with the optimal results ahead.Again, I do not have any solution off hand without a detail analysis. I would definitely drive a committee to tackle the issues ahead. It should be the utmost priority given if I am the government.Part 2 of the conversation would be posted later.

New Year Resolution?

Hello my Tifosi,

Bendahara is adapting well in the new regional organisation well. He would be expected to lead his kingdom to a new height in this year in hope that all would be well for the kingdom.

Recently he does not seems to have any luck. He was struck down by bees on the first day of the Julian Calendar. Then he injuried two of his fingers on the next few days. The worst seems to be over with his translink card giving up on him.

It was just before CNY that his cash was been eaten by the deposit machine. It was terrible that such things happen. But it gave him a slip to call the bank and that after that, he need to wait a week before he get the money back.

He was thinking of a friend right now, it was strange that how fate manage to bring them back to Commonwealth. He does not know a lot of people in the new school back then and that she was one of those that he know. So after final days of exams, he was suppose to get her contact but forget about it till now.

He meet her once in a hi bye situation and then gone. It was till Yesterday that they caught each other in the train.

On the same day he caught eye of another ex classmates who seems to be doing well as he drive a rare car across Raffles Place. He was surprise that how he managed to do that well but at the same time, he was wondering how he could improve his kingdom and his own personal status.

Lately he is vex. He can't pinpoint the reasons but there seems to be a lot.

Hello my tifosi,I had been trying to see how do I connect my mobile postings to the pc but no luck about it. That is something random that I would like to say.In another 5 days time it will be Christmas and your bendahara here would like to wish all of you a merry christmas and a happy new year. How would u spend ur holiday? I have no idea on how I will do it actually.I would likely to be off my official duties late actually. So the eve will be spend mostly at work.

Bendahara had a series of good and bad announcement. Firstly he had found a new job back to the bank. To be more precise an previous bank that he had worked with. His boss had rehired him again. The income bring in will be good and so does the benefit when compare to now. Second new is that he had successfully paid down the bond of the country and he will expect things to be better from there.Third is a troubling mystery that Bendahara could no comprehen.Lastly his exam result is out soon and he is shaking with fear for his final year.

Dreams kills

Hello my tifosi,Your Bendahara had a lot of strange dreams these days.All the while he was fond of an ex colleague but he didn't want to progress further. In life there are some people that you are fond of but you will never want to progress it beyond friends. The same situation take place. For the past few nights, I had been dreaming of sleeping with her and kissing her. Holy. They were good dreams but I woke up feeling guility cos she was already married even through her marriage was not as secured as I thought that it would be.

Hello my silent Tifosi,

It has been another half a month gone since i had address the public. Your faithful Bendahara is looking a switch in the regional organisation. Right now the organisation that he had registered the country to be was in a big mess. The other countries in the organisation were expressing interest to withdraw from the organisation.

Bendahara would now be on the high alert and would be hunting for the next regional organisation for his country to join. Right now hunting for a good fit would be a big problem but he had already sent out a lot of intelligence to look for them.

Bendahara still feel very empty. His royal grandma's death had bring upon some significant changes in his behavior and action but at the same time he still feels that nothing much had been achieved and that in his heart he was thinking of more.

There was still something that is lacking in him to push into the kind of life that he want to have. Right now he was still some distance away from his ideal life.

Oh the side note, Bendahara was learning how to play golf. His practice in the golf range showed that why he was never a tiger wood. But he would continue to practice hard.

He would continue to update more as he get a little more time than usual.

End of Summer Campaign

Hello all my tifosi,

Bendahara did not have an update after the fact that he had actually just completed his summer campaign about close to three weeks ago. He is hopeful that it would bore him some useful results.

After the summer campaign, things had generally slow down for him but he is looking for a change in objective in the running of the country. Generally he had thought that he had done a great job for his fat kaiser/sultan/emperor.

Bendahara had also successfully bring the national debt to a lower level than what he had expected. He would expect the first treasury bill to be fully redeemed by the next quarter and another one to be cleared by the first quarter of next year which would successfully bring the country national debt to zero.

Bendahara had also decided to continue his writing which in hope will bring in more funds for his treasury. Currently the treasure although is in a satisfied condition, it is not ideal. He would love to add a few more industries to boast the treasury.

He would also sought to update more often but there again with his duties at the max, it would be hard for him to find time to do so.

Financial Year End

Hail all my tifosi,

It has been another good financial year of 2009/2010. Your Bendahara had managed to survive the entire year without too much trouble. In the year before, the royal treasure was almost been empty throughout the year to keep up with a loan default made by the crowned princess. She had kind of went into some sort of unofficial bankruptcy and so the loan which was under Silmaria's name was to be repaid by the country treasure.

In the next financial year, Bendahara will foresee that the loan will be repay by hopefully the first quarter of the year and that will only bring it down to one more loan before the country debt would be off total. He expected both loans to be cleared by the next financial year.

Bendahara had been dreaming most of the night. (P.s. He would probably be dreaming in the most of the day as well.) He had disturbing dreams these days. Distorted images of deformed women in naked yearning of his attention and the right to mate with him. It seriously freaked him out. What about men? There were no men in his dreams these days. Men these days in his dreams are either his relatives, his friends, Eunuchs or transvestite. It made him sweat a fair bit. In case you cannot get the images, try to think of a relatively pretty looking girl with a lemon shaped tummy trying to get on top of you and that one point of the tummy really was the end of the lemon. Goodness.... Bendahara was still shivering from the image.

CNY message

Good day all subjects,

Your Bendahara will like to take the opportunity to wish everyone a happy CNY and may everyone be prosperous for the next year to come.

It may be a very challenging year for this year but i think most of us can survive it after a major disaster last year. The treasury that we are holding is expected to be slightly filled then the previous year.

Bendahara will be going for BSB concert. (In case anyone is wondering, it is called Backstreet Boys not Bullshit Boys or anything.) I am pretty excited about it. I had seen them in the last F1 but it was not that fulfilling. This time it should be fun.

In another 26 or 27 days time, Bendahara will join the dark side of owning an Iphone. It would be the first time that a tech idiot Bendahara getting such a high tech equipment. He is excited about that.

New year speech

Good day everyone,

What would you all be doing in the begining of year 2010. Year 2010 is something that i thought that would not have happen quite some years back. Back in year 2000 countdown, i was thinking to myself, year 2010 onwards are really far away.

Several long moments later, here it is, your good 2010 have just begun.

Year 2009 had been a very bad year for Bendahara. Going off the financial industry and that trying to regain a footing in life had been further thwarted by the resuming of the final year. The terrible subjects combination encrumbled with financial worries was something that he had never dream of.

Having a bad start with colleagues and that was confused about what he wanted, he was not ready to throw everything out. Bendahara knew that he had to push on or he will just waste a year in his life. A year might not be a lot but it is still a good 365 days.

Having to say that things actually turned out much better for him at the end of 2009.

Bendahara was hoping that he could ride on the better return on end 2009 to give him a better 2009.

Overall speaking Bendahara even through was pleased that most of the problems that he had encountered had been solved, he thought that the year could be much better. And that he was working hard to ensure that it would be a fruitful 2010.

The demise of Bendahara's Grandma.

Your Bendahara had a very tough week last week. His granny had not been feeling too good since Saturday had refused and delayed to enter the hospital till Monday where the volunteers had advice her to. By the time she went into the hospital, she was already suffering from bleeding liver. To scan and exam or to treat internally was almost impossible given her age. Bendahara did not realize she was bleeding internally. All that i knew instinctively was that i had to see her fast. Bendahara only get to know from Bendahari (Bendahara's younger sister) that she was not doing good and it was only a matter of time she would be gone.

It was very strange feeling indeed. It was like in theory Bendahara could accept everything thrown to me. In reality, Bendahara find it hard to accept the imminent death. The stupid TTSH insisted that everyone had to queue up and get their information before going up. They had limited the number of people per bed to 6. Can someone tell them that such rule should be banned for Bendahara? Anyway Bendahara managed to get up to see her. Bendahara had started to have a little flashback of how she was visiting us about 20 odd years ago and that how she managed to get herself to us without any problem. Of course there were times she went to visit the other cousins instead of us even through she was scheduled to visit us and how we slightly angry at our cousins for jumping the queue.

Of course as she aged, she was not able to visit us much so we went to visit her. Along the way, my frequency of visiting started to drop as Bendahara was often busy and fatigue. Whenever Bendahara visit her, she would be very happy and held bendahara's hand for awhile and tell him to have a drink. At times, she would tell him to bring a girl home to let her see. he would always be around whenever there were having some functions or whenever she was in hospital.

So when he went to visit her, he was shocked at how frail she looked. It was sad to see her in that state. It was the next morning that she moved on without us around. Bendahara was shocked and that it seems so unreal. It was a strange feeling to see her lying motionlessly. Your Bendahara kept thinking that she would move and that she would say something but nope she was already gone. He also thought that Bendahari was right to tell him that he had refused to accept certain facts and moved on very well.

In that very moment, he was very glad that he managed to see her for the last time. He realised that sometimes if there were something to be done right now, it had to be done right now. He was glad that he did. He did not have much regret on this issue.

In the funeral, Bendahara started to see the ugly side of his relatives. They were suppose to uphold their own morale but they failed him.

He started to realise that while been contented of being single, he did not want to die alone without anyone loving or griefing for him in the future. (Practical issue which he accepted that he will die) and that he wanted his descendants to organise his funeral and execute his will accordingly and someone to inherit his title of Bendahara.

Bendahara think that he will change for the better and live life the best he can without any regret.

An update of what bendahara will be doing?

Currently the Bendahara's office is very busy. Committing to his three month's road map, he realised that he was already way behind his schedule. He felt a little disappointed but he is not totally despaired as he was already making progress to what he want to achieve. Sure that it was slow but he was not freaking about it.

Bendahara had also been constantly updating himself in the business modules so that he manage the ministries better.

He was committed to the new project of writing called Nightingale in the Midnight Garden. On paper he was already in chapter 4 but he was only in chapter 1 for his actual script. That was actually some distance between the script and the paper form. He had made various changes enhance the paper version but the actual online version was an enhanced version. He is hoping that this version would be an E-book and he want to get paid for this one.

He was also on another project which was called the Firefly which he wrote for free. It was something for him to sharpen his writing sense. He prayed that he would receive good reception but he will not bank on it.

For some reasons, bendahara had felt cold in the recent morning. He knew that it is going to be a winter hibernation soon but he is not too concern as it is something that happen to him often. He was hoping that it would be good rest these days.

Sometimes words just cannot express how one feels. It is very hard to find the words regardless of what language you are using. It is just like someone asking how do you feel about night. Ahh... Night.... The kind of feeling that you get changes over the years. For an example, i used to fear night. But after many years of been bendahara, I had no longer fear the night. I embrace myself to the dark, mysterious and seductive night.

That is a short one for the moment. Will give a longer post when i have the time.

Reporter: Good morning Bendahara

Bendahara: Good Morning to you reporter

Reporter: It is a rare honor to have someone as busy as you to come to the programme. For a start, can you tell us what you are currently busy with?

Bendahara: If i tell you i would have to kill you hahaha. I am busy with completing my education. Currently i am having classes 5 nights a week per fortnight. It is not going to be easy but i guess that we can still do it without much problem. I am also busy with several policies and at the same time i am still thinking of the best way to try and teach the world how to have fluid risk management system. It is the new season of investment and i am also going to find ways to increase our treasury.

Reporter: Your work sound busy. What do you really want to achieve for the year?

Bendahara: The year is already more than half a year and that i think that i have pretty much achieve on what i wanted to achieve this year. Maybe this year we could achieve more than what we had intended to do.

Reporter: That sounds like an incredible great news. What will be the treasury investment strategies?

Bendahara: This year we are looking at conservative measures. Look at it this way as the entire reality world is making a loss, we are actually still able to have a 700% return. It is consider as very fantastic. In the long run, we are looking at more than 700%

Reporter: 700% is a very huge figure. More than anyone can expect. What is the downside?

Bendahara: The downside is that we will have a good chance of suffering a good loss when things are not on our way. Economic does not have much impact. It is each individual judgement that matter the most.

Shock shock shock and more shock and disaster?

The Bendahara is not in the best state that he should be in. What he thought that would get supported by the UN was not there and that he has been submitting the application of the permanent securities council early but they had said that he did not reconfirm the submitation earlier.

He was actually on a tour of duties where he was already been drained. The mediatation by the regional group did not really help and that in the end, he was not in the good position that he thought that he would have been in. It was no fault of the Bendahara but he had to bear the conquences.

His calm thinking had steered him out of further trouble. He was demoralised by the fact that he did not get enough support from the regional group when they should have seen it in his direction.

Domestically, he was struggling to keep the country treasure in good health. The loan to the trouble allied country was unable to had any materialised repayment as per promised. The people had let it known that they were not happy.

The Bendahara had made a public apology in the national television which the people had instantly approved and accepted that as an individual, there was so much that he could do.

Having to say that it was not all bad news. There were sources that an allied superpower had been appeal for calm resolution for the bad loan issue and made the allied country to deliever its promised payment. All had yet to be seen if it would be successful.

In the meantimes, there were a few promising projects that are coming up that could boost the country treasury. The bendahara had promised more hard work on this part of the domestic front and to continue to strive hard to build up more fruitful relationships with the nations in the UN.

An important resolution Summit would be held tomorrow and all eyes would be on the close table talks of a few nations including Silmaria. Eyes would be expected to cast on Bendahara who would be playing prominent role in the summit.

Spend too much time on useless campaign.

Someone had recently seen all the so called MSN title that the Bendahara had put up very recently. The person started to ask,"You seems to have so many energy and so many things to fight against huh?"

After a quick count (Anti Communist, Anti - something (cannot say), anti NKF, Anti Odex and Anti North Korean, quite recently anti FIA and Anti Max Mosley), he was shocked that how much campaigns he had launch throughout his life.

A quick resolution would be that he would launch fewer campaigns in the future, especially such compaigns are very tiring and meet with limited success. He should have spend more time on the bigger issues in the court than all these trival stuffs that he is better off in having a headstart and let someone else do the rest.

In order to run the kingdom of Silmaria better, Bendahara will like to finish up the rest of whatever modules that he had left off since his hiatus from his studies. He could only pray that energies and pure luck will bring him through.

Talking about energies, he would also need divine intervention to give him a super human energy to bring himself to the end of next week.

It is never easy been Bendahara. Bendahara was a traditional post of the king maker and traditionally he is the real power behind the post and the person working the hardest for the Sultan. He can be considered as a Vizier.

Now i had been bestowed with the role of Bendahara of Silmaria. Silmaria is a big piece of land off Imagination. ( I will uses Him/his/he for easy reference purpose even through it refers to me.)

This blog will serve as a place to spot the Bendahara or to see his daily activities as if he is the polar bear in the zoo.

For now, he will need to go back to his personal office to figure out how to add more features to the blog.
